And to top it off...

So if you have seen me this week there is no need to explain that it has been an incredibly rough week. The week started rough and finished rough with two solid days of RA interviews. We did hire a great RA staff for next year but not without having to make some hard decisions. To top off this already "fabulous" week I went to the school play last night (which was fabulous) and at some point during the play my phone slid out of my pocket and plunged about 15 feet under the bleachers to its shattering death. I have dropped my iPhone so many times prior to this but there are some things even an apple product cant survive. What a week!

PS...I will be doing random fundraisers in the near future to replace my phone so if you have a yard that needs mowing, a house that needs cleaning, a car that needs washing, kids that need to be kept, etc etc etc....give me a call.

HGTV Comes to Pineville

Okay for all you HGTV addicts who just gasped for air I am only kidding. However, I do feel like we should have filmed an episode of trading spaces or flip this house in my living room. In the last two weeks my living room has taken a drastic change...for the better I might add. Thanks to Uncle Sam and tax returns I now have new living room furniture, two new end table, a new rug and a fresh coat of paint on the walls. My living room looks completely different and I love it! I find myself just sitting on the couch staring at the walls. It is a very cozy room now compared to the gold walls I used to have. Before and after pictures coming soon after my chair gets delivered tomorrow. Stay tuned. A huge THANK YOU to Sara, Amy and Cory for helping me flip the room in literally less than 8 hours. Fun times!

March Birthday Madness!

Three special girls.....three special birthdays! It's been a busy month of birthdays so far. It started with Matti's birthday. My baby girl is 2 years old now. Here is a picture of her with her new monkey toy. You can tell from the pictures that she loved her new toy and she drags it from room to room with her.

After Matti's birthday came birthday girl number two...BAILEY. Bailey turned three on March 8th and we had an "Ariel happy birthday party." It was time once again for Elizabeth and I to put our cake decorating class to the test. Here is our Ariel masterpiece complete with iced fish cookies.

Last but certainly not least is birthday girl number three. Unfortunately she didn't follow the chronological age pattern because she wasn't turning four. Elizabeth was going to be out of town on her actual birthday so we decided to throw her a surprise party a few days early. Everyone met at Little Greek to surprise Elizabeth and I came shortly after with the kids in tow. We had a great time! Elizabeth was surprised so mission accomplished. The restaurant let us break plates in honor of Elizabeth's birthday which was super fun....such a great stress relief. With every plate you broke you had to make a wish and yell OPA! I have no idea what that means so hopefully we weren't all yelling curse words. Because of it being a surprise none of us brought cameras so this were just a few shots I got on my phone. I made a big E for Elizabeth's cake. I captured one of her before she threw her plates and one of the floor after all our plates were thrown. I also got some of Jesse thoroughly enjoying his pita bread with yogurt...it was hilarious!!

Happy Birthday to some of my favorite girls! I hope this is a fabulous year for all three of you!

Monumental Day

Today is Matti's 2nd birthday which means technically in dog years that my baby is 14 now. These last two years have flown by so fast. I honestly don't remember life without her. She got lots of new treats this morning along with a new St. Patrick's Day collar and a new toy. I know this is going to sound silly but she knew there was something special about today and was demanding attention more than ever. I love my girl so I was happy to oblige. Her final treat of the day was getting to eat cheese ravioli for dinner after being denied table food for a month now. I'm such a sucker!

Matti's birthday is not the part that made this day monumental but it will certainly help me remember this day for a long time. So here's why it was monumental....
I BOUGHT MY FIRST PIECE OF FURNITURE for my home. All the furniture I have had up until this point has either been hand me down or given to me. My couch was getting past the point of seeing its better days and thanks to the help of income tax returns I feel more like an adult than I did yesterday.

It's also monumental because for the first time the LC WIRELESS INTERNET IS WORKING...I am sitting on my couch connected to wireless internet updating my blog. Praise the Lord! It has been years in the making and has finally become a reality.

March 2nd was a big day for us! Pictures coming soon of all the happenings of the day but for now I am off to bed because I have Maid of Honor responsibilities tomorrow so I must get my beauty sleep!
